Rev. Hope C. Rivers, Pastor

Education and Academic Service

Rev. Champaigne-Rivers is deeply committed to both spiritual formation and academic excellence. She earned her:

  • Bachelor of Science (2005) in Sociology from Charleston Southern University

  • Master of Divinity (2009) in Pastoral Counseling and Spiritual Formation from Columbia International University

  • Master of Arts (2015) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Webster University

  • She has earned 30 hours towards a Doctor of Ministry Degree (2026) at Erskine Theological Seminary and is writing her dissertation. 

She is a lifetime member of Alpha Chi National College Honor Scholarship Society and Alpha Kappa Delta, The International Sociology Honor Society. She is also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.

Counseling and Professional Work

Rev. Champaigne-Rivers is a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina, a Supervisor Candidate, and a Nationally Certified Counselor through the National Board of Clinical Counselors (NBCC). She is further certified in the treatment of Anxiety Disorders, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Pre-marital and Marital Counseling and Trauma. She is the founder and owner of Hope Is Love Counseling Services, LLC, with offices in Goose Creek and Moncks Corner, where she provides compassionate therapeutic care to individuals, couples, families, and adolescents.

Testimony and Ministry

Her personal testimony is one of resilience, hope, and faith. Delivered from childhood trauma, physical abuse, depression, and oppression, Rev. Hope has experienced God’s unconditional love firsthand. That love compels her to share Christ’s message of healing and restoration with others, dedicating her life to preaching the Gospel and extending the love of God to all.

Family and Personal Life

Rev. Champaigne-Rivers is active on Instagram TikTok and Facebook, where she shares encouragement and ministry updates. She enjoys spending time with her three adult children and four wonderful grandchildren.
